Support where you actually move
A useful rail matches the movements of the person using it: entering, sitting, standing and turning. Position should be agreed with the user rather than copied from a showroom. For complex mobility needs, an occupational therapist can help assess the layout. A towel rail is not a substitute for a purpose-designed support.
Ask how the wall substrate will be checked and which fixing system suits it. Tiles alone do not establish load capacity. The installer should follow the support manufacturer’s instructions and explain checks and maintenance. Do not choose a fixing method from a photograph alone.
