Replacing a bath with a shower
Start with the drain, not the catalogue
A low shower entry depends on the floor construction, available drain height and waterproof junctions. Removing a bath may reveal unfinished walls or older pipework. Ask what will be inspected, which finishes can remain and how the transition to the existing floor will be sealed.
Before signing, ask for the planned screen or curtain, water containment, drying times and expected interruption. A fully level shower is not suitable for every existing floor. Agree a realistic solution after inspection, rather than accepting a universal one-day promise.
