Choosing an adapted toilet
The right height is personal
A higher toilet is not automatically easier for everyone. Seat height, foot contact, space for transfers and nearby support need to be considered together. Discuss the movements with the person who will use it. A raised seat, a different toilet or a wash-and-dry model solves different needs.
Ask about drainage compatibility, support for a wall-hung frame and access for repairs. Models with powered functions may also need a suitable electrical supply. Request a demonstration of controls and cleaning before choosing. Have the installer check the existing services on site.
